Launch engine custom made in Birmingham, England by J. V. Murcott Ltd.  It appears to be a traditional boat engine of about a 3x4 with slide valve and Stevenson reversing links design.  This engine was made in 1980 for Hank Palmer of St. Petes, Florida who was an experienced Stanley restorer.  It ran his steam launch in the bay for many years.
